Working Party fundraising for July trip to ECRAD

In July a work party of 13, mainly from two Churches in Glasgow, Scotland, head out to ECRAD’s orphan care centre in Malawi to help rebuild the nursery school and complete “Derek’s Diner” – the new kitchen and dining room being built in memory of ECRAD Scotland’s founder Derek Wood.

They will also be taking over clothing and other aid to the children and their teachers, helping with sports coaching, and generally encouraging the local team.

On Saturday 24th June the team is taking on the 52 mile / 3,000 feet climb of the 5 ferries challenge to raise funds to help ECRAD continue to feed and teach orphans. On a previous visit a local bike was brought back from Malawi, and to spice up the challenge, they aim to propel it round the route if humanly possible!

Other events taking place include a Marathon and a Cycle.

Currently ECRAD is feeding 400 orphans each day, and so the team would be so grateful if you could support the on-going efforts with a donation however modest.

If you wish to support the team and the on-going work of ECRAD why not donate via one of the teams fundraising pages via the links below – it is never too late.
